CE Marking – We’ve got it covered. Have you?

CE marking became mandatory for all construction products covered by a harmonised technical specification, either a harmonised European Standard or a European Technical Assessment, as from July 1, 2013. CE marking for structural products, such as purlins, eaves beams and rails, came into force from July 1, 2014.

Steadmans has CE marking covered because we have undertaken a rigorous process to ensure that every one of our products conforms to the newregulations and meets the requirements. This gives you complete peace of mind that no matter which of our goods you are working with, they’ll have the correct CE mark and be compliant.

  • This regulation is EU law and is being adopted by all member states, including the UK.
  •  The entire supply and distribution chain is responsible for ensuring correct CE marking on products.
  •  Manufacturers, importers, and distributors must be aware of essential characteristics and specification requirements of the product for the member state they are selling in.
  •  Steadmans has undertaken a rigorous process to ensure products covered by the regulations – AS35 composite cladding,  single skin profiles and structural products – meet the requirements.

Steadmans supplies certification of CE marking with invoices, where required. For more information on how CE marking will affect you, please contact Steadmans on 01697 478 277

CE marking is the only way to demonstrate that a product, or system, complies with the Construction Products Regulation. It is a manufacturer’s declaration that their product meets the minimum requirements of a harmonised technical specification, enabling them and their agents to place their product on the construction market.
