The success of Steadmans’ sales and distribution centre in Fyvie, Aberdeenshire, continues to exceed expectations as it celebrates its second anniversary.

Sales at the centre, located at Mill of Crichie between Aberdeen and Inverness, have exceeded their month-on-month targets and footfall is high.
The company’s sales and operations manager for Scotland and Ireland, Darren Hall puts its success down to three elements: the site’s staff, products and location.

Darren said: “At Fyvie we have very experienced and well trusted sales staff, plus an extensive stock range which means the site is very successful for its size.

“The centre is also in a great location to serve the heavily agricultural market nearby. Customers drop in for advice, or to take goods directly off the shelves with them. We have up to two deliveries of products per week here so we are always well stocked and we can also deliver direct to site. The operation runs very smoothly.”

Steadmans, which has a similar operation in Uddingston, South Lanarkshire, opened at the Fyvie site in May 2012.

Both Steadmans’ Scottish sites are supplied with a wide range of products from the company’s head office and manufacturing facility near Carlisle, Cumbria. These include roofing sections, insulated roof and wall panels, profiled metal cladding, and a wide portfolio of structural products. The Fyvie site also sells an extensive range of fibre cement sheeting and a wide range of accessories from stock.
