Steel Cladding Specialists

A hundred years of steel cladding excellence

Established in 1911 when George Steadman set up business as Caldbeck’s blacksmith, Steadmans has grown to become a major supplier to the construction and agricultural industries. Having out-grown a 3000 square metre site at Caldbeck, a new plant was designed and built at Warnell in 1989. This purpose built facility accommodates our extensive range of state of the art equipment and machinery required to satisfy our customers’ demands for roofing and cladding products.

Within our undercover storage facilities, we maintain multi million pounds worth of stock. Customers’ orders and stock levels are constantly monitored and tracked by computerised systems and our administration and purchasing systems. These systems ensure we can effectively manage and track orders wherever they are with the production and delivery cycle ensuring our customers’ needs are met in an effective and timely manner.

We are extremely proud of the fact that the majority of our factory and office staff have been with the firm for many years. We have a very high average length of service that ensures we have the experience to meet your requirements.

Together with the directors, they form an experienced and reliable team – always committed to making sure that the customers are supplied with what they want, when they need it!

To ensure reliable deliveries, we use our own vehicles, where possible, and an approved contractor. The majority of our own vehicles feature self unloading fork-lifts. Nationwide deliveries are made weekly to every area within the UK.

Steadmans is now part of a large national company, SIG plc, who within the UK have in excess of 6,500 employees in over 490 locations. SIG have further businesses outside the UK and have the capacity to export worldwide.
