Meet the Team – Jan Qateel
At Steadmans, strong customer relationships are built on clear communication and consistency and that’s exactly what Jan Qateel brings to his new role as Regional Sales Manager for Northern Scotland & Ireland.
Jan has been with the business for over 9 years and Working closely with customers across the region, Jan supports everything from initial enquiries through to ongoing account management. His focus is simple but effective: respond quickly, communicate clearly, and make sure every customer feels valued, no matter the size of their project.
“Communication is everything,” Jan says.
“Customers need to know they can rely on you to respond quickly and give them the right information. That’s what builds trust.”
Jan takes pride in delivering a professional and attentive service at all times. Whether he’s helping a contractor secure materials for an upcoming build or supporting a merchant with ongoing supply, he approaches every interaction with the same level of care and attention to detail.
For Jan, building strong relationships comes down to consistency. By being friendly, approachable, and reliable, he ensures customers feel confident working with Steadmans time and time again. Outside of work, Jan enjoys spending quality time with his son, family, and friends. When he gets the chance to switch off, you’ll often find him catching up on the latest boxsets or getting out for a walk in the countryside.
Weekends are best spent relaxing – whether that’s eating out or exploring local parks—and when it comes to holidays, Jan enjoys travelling to Spain and Turkey, where he can unwind and recharge.
A fun fact? Jan has a photographic memory for all sorts of random information – something that doesn’t always come in handy, but definitely makes for interesting conversations.
