Meet the Team – Kirsty Sewell

Kirsty oversees the day – to – day running of the sales office, ensuring customers receive the support they need quickly, efficiently, and with a personal touch. Her approach is simple but powerful: treat every customer the way you would expect to be treated.
“I always think about it from the customer’s perspective,” Kirsty explains.
“You want to feel valued, like someone is willing to go the extra mile to get you what you need – and that’s exactly what we aim to do.”
A key part of Kirsty’s role is not just listening to customers but truly hearing them. Understanding what matters to each individual customer – their priorities, pressures, and expectations – allows her and the team to provide a more tailored and effective service.
“It’s easy to have a conversation,” she says, “but unless you really understand what’s important to the customer and their business, you’re not going to deliver the best outcome.”
This attention to detail and commitment to customer care helps ensure a smooth and positive experience at every stage, reinforcing Steadmans’ reputation for reliability and service.
Outside of work, Kirsty enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, as well as nurturing her growing collection of houseplants – something she jokingly refers to as trying to “grow a jungle.”
She also keeps busy with creative pursuits, attending a weekly art club to develop her painting skills and working on writing her own book.
Her ideal weekend includes a gym session, some quiet writing time in a coffee shop, and quality time with family. And while she loves travelling, Edinburgh stands out as a favourite destination for its unique atmosphere and charm.
A fun fact? Kirsty once had a collection of over 150 rubber ducks – definitely one of the more unusual hobbies you’ll hear about.
